JUST IN: A close confidant of Rep. Matt Gaetz strikes a deal to plead guilty and cooperate with investigators in their sprawling sex crimes investigation.

A close confidant of Florida Rep. Matt Gates struck a deal with federal prosecutors to greatly reduce his case and plans to assist investigators with their multilateral investigation of sexual crimes.  Joel Greenberg, a former tax commissioner for Seminole County, Florida, faced decades in prison on 33 federal charges that varied between identity theft and sexual trafficking of a minor, and of course allegations of fraud and bribery.  He now plans to plead guilty to six federal charges, after striking a deal with prosecutors, including one for child sex trafficking, according to a new court report.

On Thursday, federal court in Orlando revealed that Greenberg was planning to plead guilty next week, but details were initially unknown.  Federal investigators are still examining whether Gates violated federal sex trafficking, prostitution and public corruption laws and whether he had sex with a minor.  Gates has not been charged and he denies any of these crimes.  The congressman did not mention in 86 pages of documents the plea deal released on Friday.  Previously, CNN reported that Greenberg was providing information to investigators about how he and Gates met women who were given money or gifts in exchange for sex.  The plaintiffs allude to others with whom Greenberg has been in contact.

As part of the plea of guilt, Greenberg intends to plead before the court that he introduced a child "to other adult men, having commercial sex with a minor in Central Florida," according to the document filed Friday.  After his arrest, Greenberg also called the victim "directly and via a friend of the minor" to encourage him to lie, the document said.  This story has been updated with details from the plea agreement.

The American surprise ... what did people do after the decision to take off the masks?

The scene seemed completely strange and unexpected, a day after the resounding announcement of the US Health Agency to reduce measures to limit the spread of the Corona virus related to wearing masks, and to exempt vaccinated people from using them.

And the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced, Thursday, that fully vaccinated people can give up wearing the muzzle in open spaces, and President Joe Biden welcomed the decision and considered it a "great day" for the country most affected by the virus.  .

But despite the long-awaited announcement, and after nearly a year of observing the mask, many people still roam around Washington, DC, wearing masks.

They include student Chloe, who said she had received two doses of the vaccine, but was anyway wearing her black mask.

Chloe said: “I think the announcement ... was shocking to a lot of people.  It was definitely shocking for me, ”according to what was reported by Agence France-Presse.

Chloe, 20, considers the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announcement "optimistic," but has made it clear that she intends to continue using her mask "for a longer period".

She added, “If I see more people giving up their masks, I will feel comfortable to stop using them… just seeing the numbers of immunized people in the United States will definitely help me.  If the number goes up, I will feel relaxed.  You may feel comfortable taking it off, ”but she continued,“ It is very important to realize that the epidemic continues to spread. ”

Currently, only 36 percent of the population is fully vaccinated in the United States, where the pandemic has killed more than 580,000 people.

United Media Services headed by Tamer Mursi decided to stop dealing with the Egyptian director Mohamed Sami.

The United Company for Media Services in Egypt announced the suspension of dealing with the Egyptian director and screenwriter Mohamed Sami. This came in a brief statement issued by the company, on Saturday, this came in a brief statement issued by the company,  Saturday.
The United Media Services Company did not disclose in its statement the reasons for this decision, which prompted a large number of followers to elaborate many explanations on the subject, the most prominent of which was that the company decided to punish "Sami" for putting in place many amendments in the series "The Offspring of Strangers" and granting his wife Mai Omar a space.  Great at the expense of labor.
This also comes in addition to Muhammad Sami's failure to adhere to the original scenario of the series, which was approved by the company, and making amendments without referring to the producing company, which led to high production costs.  And the Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan, and revealing a new cooperation between them in 2022, is the main reason for the United Company's refusal to deal again with Mohamed Sami.
This team believes that Mohamed Sami has concluded a separate agreement far from the company, especially since he concluded an agreement with the United to cooperate in a new work presented next year, and this opinion was reinforced by Basma Wahba's deleting the photo from her personal account, after the United States announced the suspension of dealing with Muhammad Sami.

Covid has left a toxic legacy for the UK's NHS, with hospitals facing a huge backlog, putting lives at risk, patient groups and staff have warned.

Elaine Walsh was diagnosed with womb cancer in January.

The 61-year-old, from Essex, was immediately classed as an urgent case - and should have been operated on within weeks. But her operation was canceled - because of the pandemic and the backlog it had caused.

It was the most horrendous day", she says. Every day that I'm not on a surgical operating table, it is more of a risk." Elaine is now due to have surgery on Friday - but the wait has taken its toll. She has been seeing a psychologist to help her emotionally, while physically she has started to deteriorate.

I have got weaker," she says. I'm in more pain. Things I could do then, I can't now.Elaine's story is not unique.  Analysis by BBC News shows the numbers starting treatment within the target time have fallen during the pandemic.

And some trusts are struggling to start treatment for even half of patients in the recommended timeframe two months following an urgent referral from their GP For University Hospitals Birmingham, that proportion is well under a half. It has seen performance deteriorate despite sending patients to be treated in local private hospitals. The trust has treated more Covid patients than any other in the country - more than 14,000 have been admitted since the start of the pandemic, leading to the redeployment of 1,500 staff locally.

Like others, it says the disruption has been unavoidable - and it is now "working hard" to have patients diagnosed and treated.

But it has found not all the delays are caused by the disruption to services.About one in every four of the patients waiting the longest has postponed treatment themselves - and nurses at the trust have been phoning and pleading with them to have treatment. This reluctance to come forward coupled with problems accessing GP and screening services at points in the pandemic is the reason why the number of patients coming forward for checks and being diagnosed has dropped - although there are now signs the numbers are rising.Nonetheless, analysis by Macmillan Cancer Support suggests across the UK there are 45,000 "missing" cancer patients. And the charity fears this will lead to more later-stage diagnoses, which reduce the chances of survival.

After an Israeli air strike destroyed a tower block in the Gaza Strip. The 13-storey building was attacked an hour and a half after residents and local people were warned to evacuate, according to reports.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Palestinian civilians on Sunday to leave immediately any site where militants are operating, one day after Israel took the Gaza war to a new level by flattening a 13-storey apartment tower.

Israeli aircraft first fired a non-explosive rocket at the building, a sign to residents to get out, before attacking it on Saturday.  Seventeen people were wounded in the strike on the structure, which Israel said had housed a Hamas command center.

I call on the inhabitants of Gaza to evacuate immediately from every site from which Hamas is carrying out terrorist activity.  Every one of these places is a target for us, ”Netanyahu said in public remarks at a cabinet meeting.

With no end in sight to fighting now in its seventh week, Netanyahu’s tough talk could indicate a move towards bolder strikes in densely populated neighborhoods, even at the risk of raising more international alarm.

Thousands of homes have been destroyed or damaged in the conflict.  Nearly 500,000 people have been displaced in the territory of 1.8 million where Palestinians, citing Israeli attacks that have hit schools and mosques, say no place is safe.

Israel has said Hamas bears responsibility for civilian casualties because it operates among non-combatants.  The group, it said, uses schools and mosques to store weapons and as launching sites for cross-border rocket attacks.

Palestinian health officials say 2,108 people, most of them civilians and more than 400 of them children, have been killed in the Gaza Strip since July 8, when Israel launched an offensive with the declared aim of ending Palestinian rocket fire into its territory.

Sixty-four Israeli soldiers and four civilians in Israel have been killed.

It looks like a Facebook group promoting anti-vaccine disinformation. But Richard says it is a decoy, aimed at helping people attracted to conspiracy theories.

In a policy shift, Facebook is now removing groups and pages that discourage people from getting vaccines.  As social media giants grapple with the anti-vaccine movement, Specialist disinformation reporter Marianna Spring meets the everyday citizens battling conspiracy theories in their spare time.

The banner image shows a Photoshopped picture of Bill Gates with a crazed expression holding a needle decorated with a skull and crossbones.  It looks like a Facebook group promoting anti-vaccine conspiracy theories.

But this group actually has very different intentions.

Richard is a builder, a trainee psychologist - and one half of the duo behind the decoy group.  He says he aims not to spread bad information but rather to help people attracted to conspiracy theories.  His friend Dave (not his real name; we've agreed to give him a pseudonym because he fears abuse from anti-vaccine activists) believed in conspiracy theories for the best part of 20 years.

If I was to actually create a group saying, 'I'm going to re-educate you then I'm not going to get any takers," he says.So I have to do it in a stealth way, which is a bit underhanded, I suppose. But the intentions are good. The group's name references Bill Gates and completely unfounded conspiracy theories that the Microsoft founder is plotting to kill millions of people and control them with implanted microchips.  And once people are drawn in, the two moderators try to reason with them, to bring them back to reality.

Pelosi accuses U.S. Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene of ‘verbal assault’

US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Thursday that Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Green committed "verbal assault and abuse against a Democrat who may have violated the code of ethics of the US House of Representatives.  The Washington Post reported that two of its reporters witnessed Green - confronting Democrat Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after the House vote on Wednesday.Green has already been sanctioned by the House of Representatives for making sensational remarks involving violence against Democrats. The newspaper reported that Green followed Ocasio Cortez and shouted at her and falsely accused her of supporting "terroristsI think what our office reported about what happened as the members were leaving the room yesterday was the verbal abuse and abuse of our fellow Congressman AOC," Pelosi told reporters at her weekly press conference. With tensions already running high on the US Capitol building following the deadly attack on January 6 by supporters of former President Donald Trump, Pelosi said Green's behavior was "less than the dignity of anyone serving in the United States Congress and is a cause of shock and fear among the members. In response to a request for comment on the incident, a Green Reuters spokeswoman referred to a tweet to Greene in which she wrote that the House Ethics Committee should investigate Ocasio Cortez for putting Trump administration officials "on lists to destroy their lives and prevent future employment In early February, the House of Representatives voted to remove Green from two high-profile committees over remarks she made that included her support for violence against Democrats.

While running for Congress in 2020, the Green campaign released an image showing her with an assault rifle alongside three liberal Democrats - Ocasio Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar.

Greene voiced support for unfounded conspiracy theories including "QAnon" that argues that the Democratic elite is part of a gang of devil worshipers and cannibals.

She has since distanced herself from some of her observations.

Wednesday's incident came the same day that House Republicans sacked Representative Liz Cheney from her leadership post for criticizing Trump's false claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him.

Gov. Gavin Newsom said California will effectively end its mask mandate next month when the state plans to fully reopen after more than a year of Covid-19 restrictions.

A US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention expert said Wednesday that it's OK to give the coronavirus vaccine alongside other vaccinations, a major boon for children and teenagers behind on their regular inoculations.
Doctors and other clinicians had previously been advised to avoid giving coronavirus vaccine within two weeks of any other vaccine.  But Dr.  Kate Woodworth of the CDC's birth defects division said Wednesday that advice has changed now, saying there is substantial data on the safety of the vaccines.
"Extensive experience with non-Covid-19 vaccines has demonstrated that immunogenicity," or the ability of a vaccine to provoke an immune response, "and adverse event profiles are generally similar when vaccines are administered simultaneously as when they are administered alone," Woodworth  told a meeting of the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP).
She said the clinical considerations are being updated to say that Covid-19 and other vaccines can be administered "without regard to timing," including on the same day.
The change is important because many children remain behind on their regular vaccinations, as the pandemic shut down many non-emergency medical checkups.  The two-week delay threatened to add another hurdle to getting people protected against Covid-19 as well as other diseases like influenza, tetanus and HPV.
The American Academy of Pediatrics also said Wednesday it supports giving routine childhood vaccines together with coronavirus vaccines.
After some discussion among ACIP members concerned people might not fully understand the advice, the CDC added some language to its guidance to make it clear that the agency doesn't know if people will be more likely to have a reaction if they get a Covid-  19 vaccine close in time to other vaccines.
The announcement came shortly before the vaccine advisers voted unanimously to recommend use of the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine in youths age 12 to 15. They voted 14-0 to recommend use of the vaccine, with one recusal.
This is one more step to gaining immunity and bringing the pandemic closer to an end," said Dr.  José Romero, who chairs ACIP and who is also the Secretary of the Arkansas Department of Health.  "We still need to vaccinate the rest of the world, but we have made significant steps and are on the road."
The recommendation comes a day after the US Food and Drug Administration decided to expand the emergency use authorization (EUA) of the Pfizer vaccine to people as young as 12. ACIP's advice now goes to CDC director Dr.  Rochelle Walensky, who is very likely to give the go-ahead within hours.
Though young people are less likely to be seriously affected by Covid-19, they can still be infected and spread it to others.  The CDC estimates more than 22 million children age 5 to 17 have been infected with coronavirus, CDC's Dr.  Sara Oliver said Wednesday.
With so many older people vaccinated, children and teens are starting to make up a larger proportion of coronavirus cases now than earlier in the epidemic. In April, 9% of Covid-19 cases were aged 12-17 years, which actually represents a larger proportion of cases than adults 65 and older," Oliver told the ACIP meeting.

How Scary Is Army of the Dead, Zack Snyder’s New Zombie Movie for Netflix?

The best part of Zack Snyder's uneven but largely enjoyable undead epic is the mini-movie rolled into its opening credits, and it's worth a mini-review of its own.  "Army of the Dead" opens as a brawny reanimated corpse bursts out of military captivity and infects the entire city of Las Vegas.  Ever the maximalist ringmaster, Snyder unleashes a rollicking slo-mo montage of zombified revelers enacting a bloody takedown of Sin City as not one but two of covers of “Viva Las Vegas” follow the action in an operatic swell of chaos that shifts from dark comedy to  wartime pandemonium.  Self-serious mythologizing made Snyder's four-hour “Justice League” cut a slog;  here, he gives way to a zanier style in tune with the material at hand.
Mercenaries stream into the deadly streets, guns a-blazing, as the ghoulish creatures multiply and tear into their attackers.  Without a single introductory line, Snyder establishes a half-dozen warriors tasked with corralling the zombies into the center of the city, just in time for a wall of crates to keep them in.  Tragedy strikes a few members of the team as the camera pans up to reveal a sea of ghouls pressing through every inch of their dusty, hellish habitat.  The monstrous being who started it all parades about his apocalyptic kingdom as the shocked survivors confront the trauma that followed them out the door.  Now that’s entertainment

Jordanians protest against Israel over al Aqsa violence

AMMAN Several thousand Jordanians protested near Israel's embassy in Amman on Monday, calling on their government to scrap its peace deal with Israel in the face of serious Israeli-Palestinian clashes around Jerusalem's al Aqsa mosque.

Riot police blocked roads leading to the fortified embassy complex to keep back demonstrators who gathered around the Kaloti mosque in the capital near the Israeli mission. No Jewish embassy on Arab land!"  protesters chanted.  Others clapped when they heard that the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas which rules the Gaza Strip had fired rockets toward the Jerusalem area and southern Israel on Monday.

"Revenge revenge  Oh, Hamas, bomb Tel Aviv!"  they chanted.

Jordan which established diplomatic relations with Israel in 1994, summoned the Israeli charge d'affaires in Amman on Sunday to voice the kingdom's condemnation over what it said were Israeli "attacks on worshippers" around the al Aqsa compound, which is in the walled Old City  of Jerusalem. King Abdullah, whose Hashemite family has custodianship of Muslim and Christian holy sites in East Jerusalem, said Israel should respect worshipers and international law safeguarding Arab rights.

Al Aqsa, Islam's third holiest site, has been a focal point of violence in Jerusalem throughout the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.  Tensions have been especially high due to the planned evictions of several Palestinian families from a neighborhood in East Jerusalem to make way for Jewish settlers.

Most of Jordan's 10 million citizens are of Palestinian origin.  They or their parents were expelled or fled to Jordan in the fighting that accompanied the creation of Israel in 1948.

They have close family ties with their kin on the other side of the Jordan River in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, both captured by Israel in the 1967 Arab-Israeli war.

Hamas Fires Rockets Deep into Israel, Escalating Tensions

The issue is he and prime members of his group are unlikely to - doubtlessly lacking a possibility to stem the violence and avert a global battle.

For many years, Israeli pro-settler organizations have aimed to push Palestinians in East Jerusalem out of their houses, dismantle their dwellings, and exchange them with tons of housing items for Jews.  It’s lengthy been a supply of simmering pressure, and the anger grew to a boil in April as eviction instances continued in Israeli courts, main Israeli police to extend their presence across the metropolis and tussle with Palestinian protesters. The standoff has produced troubling scenes, comparable to Israeli police on Saturday blocking buses of Palestinians touring to hope on the al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam’s third-holiest website, for the holiest evening of Ramadan. However there was nothing just like the crescendo of violence seen on Monday.

Far-right Israelis deliberate to march by the Muslim Quarter of Jerusalem’s Outdated Metropolis, a provocative annual custom that celebrates the Israeli seize of East Jerusalem within the 1967 Arab-Israeli Struggle - a day identified in Israel as Jerusalem Day.  However Palestinians don’t just like the occasion as a result of they declare East Jerusalem, which Israel annexed, as the long run capital of their sovereign state. Anger on the parade led to intensified battle between Palestinians and Israeli authorities.

On Monday morning at al-Aqsa Mosque, Stone-throwing Palestinians took on Israeli police firing rubber bullets and stun grenades.  Roughly 330 Palestinians had been injured native well being officers stated with 250 hospitalized from the battle. Then on Monday night, Hamas, the Islamist militant group that has dominated Gaza since 2007, fired seven rockets into Israel - with some even setting off air raid sirens in Jerusalem.  One rocket reportedly fell simply to the west of the capital, damaging some homes. The specter of rocket hearth was so actual that Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, needed to evacuate whereas in the course of a session.

Abu Obeida, a spokesperson for Hamas’s navy wing, stated the rocket assault was retaliation for what he known as Israel’s “crimes and aggression.”

It is a message the enemy has to grasp effectively,” he continued.  Hamas had given Israel till 6 pm native time to maneuver its police forces out of the Aqsa mosque compound.

France on the dispute with Britain over the island of Jersey: We will not accept a compromise.

France accused Britain of not adhering to the terms of the agreement on the UK's withdrawal from the European Union, due to the dispute that broke out between the two countries over fishing off the island of Jersey. The Minister Delegate to the French Foreign Ministry, Frank Riester, stressed today, Friday, that the British side imposed restrictions on granting licenses to French fishermen to carry out their activities off Jersey contradicts the "Brexit" agreement, noting that Paris had clearly confirmed to London the need to implement the deal.
We will not accept a compromise, and we consider the decisions adopted by the British to be null. The fishermen can count on our support.Tensions have escalated over Jersey, the largest island in the English Channel, in recent days, after France protested that the British authorities put in place a list of 41 French ships allowed to fish off the coast of the island, despite Paris' insistence that this list should be expanded to 344 vessels.
France also accused Britain of presenting a series of new demands regarding the fishing file, outside the agreements concluded during the "Brexit" negotiations. After Paris threatened to cut off electricity to the island, Britain sent two escort ships to the island on Wednesday evening, and France announced the next day that it would also deploy two ships in the region. Angry French fishermen aboard dozens of boats yesterday for several hours blockaded the island's port in protest against the British actions.

Istanbul to keep Champions League final despite two English teams

The stadium of the Champions League final between Chelsea and Manchester City has become the subject of controversy, after Turkey was placed on the red list, which is banned from travel by the United Kingdom.

Uefa remain committed to staging the Champions League final in Istanbul despite growing calls for it to be moved to the UK.Chelsea ensured it would be an all-English affair against Manchester City after their 2-0 win against Real Madrid last night.

With Turkey currently in national lockdown, further questions have been raised over the suitability of fans from England traveling to Istanbul, but UEFA remain committed to their original plans And with the Championship play-off final also scheduled for May 29, a switch to Wembley would  appear to be out of the question. In a statement European football's governing body said: “The UEFA Champions League Final will take place in Istanbul on 29 May with a limited number of spectators and we are assured the temporary lockdown which is in force until 17 May should not have any impact on the  match.Chelsea are trying to confirm how many tickets they will be granted for the final and travel arrangements for fans planning to go to Istanbul. With the UK still waiting for its latest foreign travel regulations to be confirmed, it will prove challenging for Chelsea,  City and fans of both clubs to plan ahead.

It is believed City are considering erecting big screens at the Etihad in order to allow supporters to come together to watch the match, with crowds of 10,000 spectators permitted by then.  fans turning up in numbers to celebrate last night's victory over Real it is clear there would be an appetite for a staged event

Sinopharm: Chinese Covid vaccine gets WHO emergency approval

The World Health Organization announced Friday that it would list for emergency use a coronavirus vaccine made by Chinese firm Sinopharm. The step means that the vaccine, developed by Sinopharm with the Beijing Institute of Biological Products, can be used to bolster WHO-backed efforts such as the Covax initiative to share doses equitably around the world. It is also a major boost in international recognition for Sinopharm’s vaccine and for Chinese pharmaceutical research.  It marks the first time that any Chinese-made vaccine received emergency authorization from the WHO.This expands the list of covid-19 vaccines that Covax can buy, and gives countries confidence to expedite their own regulatory approval, and to import and administer a vaccine,” WHO director general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said at a news briefing on Friday.

Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms will not seek re-election

Atlanta - Keisha Lance Bottoms, the first-term Atlanta mayor who rose to national prominence this past year with her stern yet empathetic televised message to protesters but has struggled to rein in her city spike in violent crime, will not seek a second term in office  , Ms.  Bottoms announced on Twitter on Thursday night. As Derek and I have given thoughtful prayer and consideration to the season now before us,” Ms.Bottoms wrote in an online letter, referring to her husband, Derek Bottoms, “it is with deep emotions that I now hold my head high, and choose not to seek another term as mayor.”
The news shocked the political world in Atlanta, the most important city in the Southeast and one where the mayoral seat has been filled by African-American leaders since 1974, burnishing its reputation as a mecca for Black culture and political power. At an emotional news conference Friday at City Hall, Ms. Bottoms did not give a specific reason for not running again, but rattled off a litany of crises she has faced, including a crippling cyberattack at City Hall;  a federal corruption investigation that began under her predecessor, Kasim Reed;  a pandemic;  a social justice movement in response to the police killings of Black people;  and former President Donald J. Trump, whom she described as “a madman in the White House. It is abundantly clear to me today that it is time to pass the baton on to someone else, she said.
The year 2020 unquestionably took a toll on mayors nationwide.  It was one of the most tumultuous years for American cities since the 1960s, with the social and economic disruptions of the coronavirus pandemic as well as racial justice that sometimes turned destructive.

The French Navy announced today, Thursday, that it has sent two boats to the waters around Jersey Island, which belongs to the British Crown in the English Channel, in response to a similar British action.

The French Navy sent two boats to the waters surrounding the island of Jersey, belonging to the British Crown, in the English Channel, and this came to respond to the similar British action.  A spokesman for the French Coast Guard in the Canal and the North Sea told Agence France-Presse: "With about 50 (French) fishing boats in the area, then it is clear that we wanted to pre-position these two boats," indicating that one of the boats is a gendarmerie police boat and the other is a boat.  Guards nautical.
Crews of French fishing vessels, angered by post-Brexit restrictions imposed on their access to British fishing grounds, had earlier sailed in a sea convoy to Jersey to register their protest.  British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has ordered two Royal Navy escort vessels to monitor a protest in the waters around Jersey Harbor by French fishermen.  "Any blockade will be totally unjustified," he said, with more than 100 French fishing boats ready to sail to the island.

HMS Tamaro and HMS Severn were deployed on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.  Both are armed with a cannon designed to protect against fast-moving attack aircraft and two machine guns on deck.  This comes after a threat from France to cut off electricity to Jersey due to the new rules for French fishing boats in the post-Brexit period.
The new fishing rules now stipulate that French boats have a history of fishing in Jersey waters.  However, the French authorities said that the "new technical measures" for fishing off the Channel Islands had not been notified to the European Union, making them "null and void".  Dmitry Rogoff, president of the French Fishermen's Association, had previously made it clear that 100 French fishing boats would sail to the port of Jersey on Thursday as part of a protest against the new rules, stressing that they would return safely from the port.

Britain sends warships to the island of Jersey ... Ushered in a confrontation between Britain and France over fish rights

A major dispute between Britain and France over fishing near the island of Jersey, the United Kingdom yesterday sent two escort ships of the Royal Navy towards the main port of Jersey, amid a dispute over fishing rights with France.  Yesterday, the ship "HMS Severn" sailed towards the waters off Port St. Helier in Jersey and was followed by the destroyer "HMS Tamar".  British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that "any blockade would be totally unjustified" with |  More than 100 French fishing boats are ready to set sail for the island on Thursday, according to the BBC.  This comes after a threat from France to cut off electricity to Jersey due to the new rules for French fishing boats in the post-Brexit period.  The Prime Minister said that sending the sea vessels "is a precautionary measure. France has confirmed that the conditions imposed by London for the issuance of licenses for fishing in the Channel Islands, especially the island of Jersey."

France had confirmed that the conditions imposed by London to issue fishing licenses in the Channel Islands, especially the island of Jersey, were "null and void."  She added: “We consider that if new demands to divide marine areas or fishing equipment are included in the licenses, at a time when the European Commission has not been notified of the matter, they are null and void, according to the AFP.  France affirmed its adherence to "strict respect for the" fishing agreement "negotiated within the framework of Brexit." If Britain wants to introduce new provisions, it must inform the European Commission that it has decided to inform us of this, which allows us to negotiate after that. "  Then we discovered that the new technical measures do not apply to our fishermen.

Head of Space Research at the Astronomy Institute: The Chinese missile will pass through Egypt this evening

Dr. Rasha Ghoneim, assistant professor of space dynamics and head of the space research department at the Astronomy Institute, said that the Chinese Long March 5B (CZ-5B) missile passes through Egypt on a regular basis, and she said that it orbits the whole world in an hour and a half, about 89 minutes, exactly.
The assistant professor of space dynamics and head of the space research department at the Astronomy Institute said in exclusive statements for the seventh day, that the missile passed through Egypt twice and will pass a third time at night, but it is still far away.

She said that it is expected to enter the atmosphere on the evening of May 8, after tomorrow it enters the atmosphere, but the date and location of its fall is unknown so far, and we can not predict anything about that until after it enters the atmosphere.
An assistant professor of space dynamics and head of the space research department at the Astronomy Institute explained that it is still in its orbit 1 and first-hand calculations are being made by a large group of the Astronomy Institute working on this issue in real time.

She indicated that the missile passed twice today and will pass this evening over Egypt according to general coordinates. It will pass over Egypt at 11:03 pm today and end its passage over Egypt at 11:08 pm.

The missile has a speed of 128,000 km per hour, and there is communication with the Chinese side to exchange any important data on this missile. She assured that the land is mostly water, and the possibility of it falling over a populated area is a very low probability and a great possibility that it will fall into an ocean, stressing that it is not possible to predict where it will fall until after entering the atmosphere and that is hours before it, not exceeding 9 hours.

An overpass carrying a subway train collapsed in Mexico City late Monday, killing at least 24 people, including children, according to local government officials.

An overpass carrying a subway train collapsed in Mexico City late Monday, killing at least 24 people, including children, according to local government officials.
At least 79 people have been hospitalized, officials added.  Four bodies remain trapped inside the carriages that plummeted to the streets below.

The train was traveling on an elevated part of the city's rapid transit system, on the newest Line 12 - also known as the Golden Line - when part of the overpass collapsed onto traffic below, Mexico's Secretariat of Risk Management and Civil Protection said International engineering experts will be called in to help determine the cause of the collapse, which the country's foreign minister, Marcelo Ebrard, called 'the most terrible accident we've ever had in the public transport system.

Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum told a news briefing on Tuesday that alongside an investigation by the attorney general, 'we will hire an international company certified in metros and structural matters to conduct an external technical investigation. The Secretary of Foreign Affairs Marcelo Ebrard said he will fully cooperate with all investigations into Monday's deadly subway overpass collapse in Mexico City.  Ebrard, who served as mayor of Mexico City at the time the subway line was constructed, said: 'I'm at the complete disposal of the relevant authorities, as I've always been, for everything that is needed.' The collapse happened near Olivos Station, at 10:25 p.m.  local time, according to Mexico City Interior Minister Alfonso Suarez Del Real.Rescue efforts were temporarily suspended earlier in the night due to concerns over the stability of the subway car, which was still dangling over the road.

Mayor Sheinbaum said one survivor was trapped in a vehicle beneath the rubble, but had since been freed. The city's metro system is one of the busiest in the world.  Line 12, where the accident happened, opened in 2012. The so-called 'Golden Line' was built over the course of four years.Mexico City Metro Director Florencia Serrania refused to resign during a press briefing on Tuesday, telling reporters: 'I consider that I will collaborate with the attorney general to know what was the cause of this structural failure, and I think that's what we all want, get to the bottom of this.

All the public workers are subject to people's scrutiny, but also it's crucial to make the inspections and apply the necessary sanctions,' she said. Our main task is to attend to the people who are in the hospitals, to attend to the relatives of the victims who unfortunately died in this incident,' said Sheinbaum, Reuters reported.'The Public Prosecutor's Office will carry out all the investigations, will make all the expert reports to find out what happened in this accident on line 12 of the subway,' she added.Mexico's President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador offered his condolences to the families of those killed at a press briefing.  He added the investigation into the cause of the collapse should be done quickly and that nothing should be hidden from the public.

‘Out-of-control’ Chinese rocket falling to Earth could partially survive re-entry

Reports confirmed that there is a great danger threatening the Earth within the next few days, possibly out of control.  The "Space News" website stated that a huge missile object, which is the main platform for the "Long March 5B" missile, launched by China last Thursday, is expected to fall in any area inhabited by humans during the coming period.

China launches a main unit in a space station that it intends to complete in 2022 and the missile body weighs 21 tons, is 100 feet long and 16 feet wide.  The rocket’s body will likely return to Earth at some point in the next few days, journalist Andrew Jones, who covers the Chinese space program, told Space News.  The astronomer who tracks objects orbiting the Earth, Jonathan McCoyle, told Andrew Jones: “When a missile object falls from orbit, it may burn in the Earth's atmosphere, but large pieces of its debris can survive the fall, and most of the planet is oceans.  Therefore, it is likely that the pieces of the missiles that have fallen will land in them, but they can still threaten populated areas by dropping them. "There is a grave danger coming."

A prototype of the space station that China is building also returned to Earth uncontrollably in 2018, falling over the uninhabited South Pacific Ocean.  Last Thursday, China launched the main unit that will become the residence of a crew of three astronauts on a permanent space station, which it will complete by the end of next year 2022.  The unit, dubbed "Tianhe", meaning "Harmony of Heavens", was launched on board the "Long March" missile - China's largest missile - from the Wenchang Space Launch Center on the southern island of Hainan. 11 5B This unit is one of three major components of what will become the first  A space station developed by China to compete with the International Space Station, and it is the only station currently operating in Earth orbit.

The international terminal is supported by the United States, Russia, Europe, Japan and Canada.  The United States had banned China from participating in it, according to "Reuters".  The media quoted President Xi Jinping, in a speech congratulating the country on this achievement, as saying that Tianhe is "an important pioneering project in building a strong country in technology and in space."  The launch of the Tianhe unit is one of the first tasks required to complete the construction of the space station, which will orbit the Earth in an orbit at an altitude of 340 to 450 km.  11 missions between the remaining missions include the launch of two other major units, four manned space ships and four cargo space ships.

China’s goal is to become a major force in space exploration by 2030. It has supported its space program with visits to the Moon and the launch of an unmanned probe to Mars.  On the other hand, mystery controls the fate of the International Space Station, which has been orbiting in its orbit for more than 20 years.  The project is scheduled to end in 2024 unless new financing is provided by the partners.  Russia said this month it would withdraw from the project by 2025.

At least 19 dead, 800 wounded as Colombia cracks down on tax reform protests. UN, EU call for calm at Colombia protests, warn of excessive force.

Protesters in Colombia agreed to stage a new mass rally on Monday after 19 people were killed and more than 800 wounded in clashes during five days of demonstrations against the proposed tax reform.

The office of colombia Human Rights in Colombia said 18 civilians and police officers died in violence during the nationwide protests that began on April 28, while 846 people were injured, including 306 civilians.  Authorities detained 431 people, and the government deployed the army in the cities that were affected. NGOs accused the police of shooting at the protesters.

In the face of unrest, President Ivan Duque's government on Sunday ordered the withdrawal of the tax reform proposal from Congress, where it was under discussion.  On Monday, Colombian Finance Minister Alberto Carrasquilla resigned, and Alberto said in a statement that his continued existence "will make it difficult to quickly and efficiently build the necessary consensus" to propose a new reform.  He was subsequently replaced by economist Jose Manuel Restrepo, former trade minister.

Duque criticized the sabotage of the protesters and despite the country facing a second wave of a deadly pandemic, dozens of people took to the streets again on Monday, with protests in the capital Bogota, the northwestern city of Medellin, Cali in the southwest and Barranquilla in the north.  It began last Wednesday, peacefully, before it turned into clashes between demonstrators and public forces.

But the damage was done, pumped out." Across the airwaves at the Waffle Factory also known as Fox News. The Egyptian international Mohamed El-Niny scored Arsenal's first goal in the Newcastle match, at St. James's Park.

Mohamed El Nini scored his first goal in the Premier League since joining Arsenal with a powerful shot to follow the ball that rebounded from the Newcastle defense.  Mohamed Al-Nini joined Arsenal in January 2016 from Basel, Switzerland, and was unable to score any goal in all the matches he played with the team in the English Premier League, despite scoring goals in the European Champions League, European League and English Cups.

Mohamed El-Nini managed to score the goal in the sixth minute. During the test of the pulse, the Egyptian star had another opinion, and he fired a missile with his right from the borders of the penalty area, to put Arsenal in the lead.  The Nini goal is his third this season, but he is the first in the English Premier League, specifically, after he scored twice in the European League.
